SESSION I: Cultural Humility: Equipping Oneself to Become a Cultural Responsive Practitioner
- Understand how our particular lived experiences have shaped our beliefs, attitudes, and biases about ourselves and others
- Increase awareness of implicit bias, its implications for communities, and its impact on Real Food CT’s ability to cultivate a dynamic partnership whereby it is able to provide food and connect communities
- Increase Awareness and Understanding of the levels of cultural proficiency and humility
SESSION II: Where We Stand: Now That We Know, How Do We Move Forward
- Assess where each participant is individually functioning on the cultural competence continuum
- Identify best practices associated with culturally proficient and humble organizations and individuals and prepare for implementation
- Commit to one to two action items for implementation
